Sarah

Out to the Woods Co-Director

My name is Sarah, my favourite colour is green, I enjoy getting muddy and I love the smell of rain!

Having spent 12 years working alongside the British Military my passion for the outdoors has grown, it has enthused my teaching styles educating children whilst having fun, being active and being outdoors in all weather’s as often as we can.

Currently, I teach early years children at a local primary school. I have 10 years teaching experience supporting pupils with communication, interaction, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in a mainstream setting. I am a qualified Forest School leader and have developed an on-site forest school for young children that supports children’s well-being, self-regulation and readiness for learning. I have worked with many children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and have seen first-hand how nature and the Forest School ethos has helped these learners develop useful skills for wider life.

We will have so much fun here at this beautiful woodlands.

See you soon, Sarah.
